Computer Science

MSc in Computer Science

Computer Science
  1. Applicant must hold a full-time bachelor’s degree in computer science from King Saud University or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of a 3.75/5 GPA or equivalent.
  2. Applicant holding a full-time bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines such as computer engineering, information systems, software engineering, IT, non-educational computer disciplines from King Saud University or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of a “Very Good” or (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent may be accepted; for relevant disciplines, the applicant must refer to the concerned department before starting the application process on the electronic portal.
  3.  Distance learning, educational computer, information studies, or management information systems specialties are not accepted whatsoever.
  4.  A score of at least 53 in the TOEFL-IBT test or equivalent.
  5.  A score of at least 70 in the General Aptitude Test (Quantitative Section) or at least 144 in the GRE test (Quantitative Section).

PhD in Computer Science

Computer Science
  1. Applicant must hold a master’s degree in computer science from King Saud University or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of a “Very Good” (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent; or Applicant must hold a master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: computer engineering, information systems, software engineering, IT, or other non-educational computer disciplines with a minimum of a “Excellent” (4.5/5) GPA or equivalent.
  2. A score of at least 148 in the GRE test.
  3. A score of at least 61 in the TOEFL-IBT test or equivalent.
  4. A CV along with all required documents.
  5. Submission of an essay pointing out research interests, publications, awards, etc. as well as clearly enumerating at least three research interests arranged according to priority (along with copies of all relevant documents).
Computer Science

MSc in Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence
  1. Applicant must hold a full-time bachelor’s degree in computer science from King Saud University or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of a 3.75/5 GPA or equivalent.
  2. It is permissible to accept non-specialists in computer science from computer engineering, information systems, software engineering, IT, non-educational computer, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics and operations research disciplines from King Saud University or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of a “Very Good” or (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent may be accepted.
  3. Distance learning, educational computer, information studies, or management information systems specialties are not accepted whatsoever.
  4. A score of at least 53 in the TOEFL-IBT test or equivalent.
  5. A score of at least 70 in the General Aptitude Test (Quantitative Section) or at least 144 in the GRE test (Quantitative Section).

Computer Engineering

MSc in Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering
  1. Applicant must hold a full-time BSc'degree in any of the following Scientific or Engineering disciplines: computer engineering, computer sciences, electrical engineering, software engineering, IT, or other computer disciplines, from King Saud University or any university accredited by Ministry of Education; for relevant disciplines, the applicant must refer to the concerned department before starting the application process on the electronic portal.
  2. Applicant’s GPA must be at least “Average Good” (3.25/5) GPA or equivalent in computer engineering or at least “Very Good” (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent in other disciplines.
  3. A score of at least 80 in the General Aptitude Test (Quantitative Section) or at least 148 in the GRE test (Quantitative section).
  4. A score of at least 45 in the TOEFL-IBT test or equivalent.

PhD in Computer Engineering

  1.   1. Applicant must hold a full-time bachelor’s degree in any of the following specialties: information systems, computer sciences, software engineering, computer engineering, or IT from KSU or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of an “Above Average” (3.25/5) GPA or equivalent.
  2. Applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree from a Saudi university; otherwise, the degree must be equalized from the Ministry of Education. 
  3. Professional experiences (with exact dates specified) .
  4. A score of at least 70 in the General Aptitude Test (Quantitative Section) or at least 144 in the GRE test (Quantitative section).
  5. A score of at least 45 in the TOEFL-IBT test or equivalent.

PhD in Information Systems

Information Systems
  1. Applicant must hold a full-time bachelor’s degree in any computer disciplines from KSU or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of a “Very Good” (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent
  2. Applicant must hold a full-time master’s degree in information systems or computer-related disciplines from KSU or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of a “Very Good” (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent; for relevant disciplines, the applicant must refer to the concerned department before starting the application process on the electronic portal.
  3. A minimum score of 148 in the GRE-Quantitative test
  4. A score of at least 61 in the TOEFL-IBT test or equivalent
  5. Applicant’s CV along with required documents.

  1. Applicants must hold a BSc. Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering from King Saud University or any university recognized by Ministry of Education, with a minimum “Very Good” (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent.
  2. Applicants must hold a MSc. Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering from King Saud University or any university recognized by Ministry of Education, with a minimum “Very Good” (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent.
  3. A score of at least 53 in the TOEFL-IBT test or equivalent.
  4. A score of at least 80 in the General Aptitude Test (Quantitative Section) or at least 148 in the GRE test (Quantitative section).

Information Technology

MSc in Information Technology

Information Technology
  1. Applicant must hold a full-time bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or other computer disciplines from King Saud University or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of a “Very Good” (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent.
  2. Educational computer, information studies, or management information systems disciplines are not accepted. 
  3. A score of at least 70 in the General Aptitude Test (Quantitative Section) or at least 144 in the GRE test (Quantitative section).
  4. A score of at least 53 in the TOEFL-IBT test or equivalent.
Council of Joint Master’s Program in Cyber Security MSc in Cyber Security Cyber Security
  1. Applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree in specializations (Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering) from King Saud University or any other university recommended by the Ministry of Education with a minimum of a “Very Good” (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent.
  2. A score of at least (450) in TOEFL -PBT or equivalent. 
  3. A score of at least 80 in the General Aptitude Test (Quantitative Section) or at least 144 in the GRE-Quantitative test.
  4. Applicant should pass the admission written test held by the Program Council.
