Study Programs Unit
Study Programs Unit:
This unit administers the description of all study programs and the approval (in cooperation with the Standing Committee of programs) of new programs and amendment of current ones as well as the follow-up of the application of detailed procedures of the Unified Law of Graduate Studies.
The Functions of the Unit:
1. To follow up and write reports on all study programs (regular and joint ones)
2. To coordinate with concerned departments and colleges regarding the initiation (or amendment) of new graduate programs
3. To ensure that the study programs are ready for consideration by the Standing Committee of study programs
4. To prepare a list of study programs that are ready to be forwarded to the Deanship Council for approval and then be forwarded to the University Council
5. To prepare a list of the study programs recommended by the Deanship Council to be forwarded to the University Council
6. To coordinate with the concerned departments on programs which have weaknesses that have been observed by the Standing Committee of study programs or by the Deanship Council
7. To forward the study plans of created and amended programs to the Admission and Registration Deanship to input them on the academic system
8. To archive programs and study plans manually and electronically
