First: KSU’s Admission Requirements :

Master’s Programs

  1. A score of at least 70 in the General Aptitude Test, except for students on external scholarships and (executive / medical education) programs.

PhD Programs

  1. A score of at least 45 in the TOEFL-iBT test, 4 in the IELTS Academic test, or 60 in STEP.
  2. A score of at least 70 in the General Aptitude Test, except for students on external scholarships.


Second:  Admission Requirements as per the Unified Law of Graduate Studies .

  • Solar Energy Technology
  • Wind Energy Technology
  • Hydrogen Energy Technology
  1. Applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics from KSU or any university accredited by Ministry of Education with a minimum of a “Very Good” GPA or equivalent; a minimum of an “Above Average” (3.25/5) GPA or equivalent may be accepted, provided that applicant’s GPA of the specialty courses at the bachelor’s stage is at least “Very Good” (3.75/5) GPA or equivalent.
  2. The GRE or other similar tests may be required during screening of candidates.
  3. Passing a written English examination in engineering sciences held by the Joint Program Council.
